FTS Recognized by Sen. Bill Nelson

Tampa, FL (August 6, 2010) -- On July 29th, FedTech Services, LLC (FTS) received a congratulatory letter of recognition from Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL) in response to FTS’s recent awarding of a $14.1 million contract with U.S. Forces – Afghanistan (USFOR-A). Ms. Digna Alvarez, Regional Director for Sen. Nelson, personally delivered the letter, met with FTS employees, and received a tour of the FTS facilities in Tampa.

In the letter, Sen. Nelson stated, “As a member of the Armed Services Committee, I appreciate FedTech Service’s efforts and commitment to providing defense capabilities to our military.” In his role as a member of the Armed Services Committee, Sen. Nelson oversees the Department of Defense including all branches of the military.

“We are certainly thrilled to have received the support and recognition of Senator Nelson,” said Allen Noble, FedTech Services’ CEO. “His tireless dedication to the men and women of our armed forces has been proven time and again through his work in the Senate, and we are extremely honored to have earned his respect.”

For the USFOR-A contract, FTS will be providing an IT network security and management solution in the form of Theater Network Management Architecture (TNMA), a collection of tools which will allow personnel both in the U.S. and abroad to track and analyze network operability and efficiency. By improving operational awareness, TNMA optimizes command and control communications, allowing faster response times and more accurate targeting. TNMA’s tools enhance command and control over a new generation of unmanned military systems and improve internal security of operational networks when intrusions occur.

TNMA was first implemented successfully by U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) in 2009 and is currently available to all of the U.S. global commands. Joint Staff has recognized the value of TNMA, designating it as a "best of breed" architecture. TNMA has reduced overall costs significantly through its capabilities to work with existing equipment, especially “off-the-shelf” components already in place.
